Virginia May Hatcher, 95, of Springdale, Ark., passed away on February 10, 2022, at Shiloh Health and Rehab in Springdale. She was born on May 7, 1926, in Springdale, Ark., to Andy Stevenson and Pearl (Seaton) Stevenson. Virginia worked for many years in food service at Springdale Public Schools. She was a wonderful homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking. She was a faithful Christian and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Springdale. Virginia was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Loren Hatcher; her parents; four sisters: Helen Harvison, Jewell England, Jettie Upton, Bonnie Hoffarth; four brothers: Don Stevenson, Lester Stevenson, Thurman Dale Stevenson, and Wayne Stevenson. She is survived by one sister, Lucille Williams Brobst; two children: Gene Hatcher and wife Marlene of Lowell; Linda Madewell and husband Don of Springdale; four grandchildren: Jeff Madewell and wife Judy, Mike Madewell and wife Victoria, Melanie Taylor and husband Bryon, Cindy Jones and husband Nolan; and seven great-grandchildren: Megan, Zachary, Joshua, and Luke Taylor, Isabella Hatcher, Courtney, and Ashley Madewell. Visitation will take place on Monday, February 14, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jim Lynch officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
