Sharon Gail (Hernandez) Renick, 68, a longtime member of Christ the King Catholic Church, passed away on February 10, 2022, after a brave fight with cancer. Despite being taken from us too soon, Sharon managed to share a lifetime's worth of love and laughter with her family, her friends and her Christ the King community, having spent nearly 25 years as an employee of that school (and having shared countless hugs, conversations and birthday treats with the children who passed through the cafeteria during that time). "Mrs. Renick" was strong, selfless and loyal, and her happiness and kindness will live on through the thousands whose lives she made brighter. Sharon's passing is preceded by her parents, Clarence Joseph Hernandez, Sr., and Edna Louise Seals; and her sister, Mary Ann ("Boogie"). She is survived by her loving husband, John (Oakwood, Ohio), daughter, Mary (Oakwood, Ohio, where she lives with her husband, Dr. Tim Hauser and children Lucia, Jack, and Bobby); son, Greg (New York, N.Y., where he lives with his wife Mallory); brothers, Joe, Benton, and Paul; sister, Judy; sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Carol, and Lisa; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham Rd., Little Rock, on Saturday, February 26th at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Msgr. Hebert Endowment Fund at Little Rock Christ the King Catholic School, CARTI Cancer Center – Little Rock, Mount St. Mary Academy, or Little Rock Catholic High School for Boys.
