Shaun Cronin, age 66, of Little Rock, died February 16th, 2022, peacefully in her home. She was born March 20, 1955, in Madison, Wis., to Gerald and Joyce Cronin. She is survived by her son, Zachary Andrew Cronin and his wife, Kathleen Cronin, of Chicago, Illinois; her loving father, Gerald Cronin of Little Rock; siblings, Kim Cronin, Chris and Janet Cronin, Marion Cronin, and Marguerite and Tommy Swaffar, all of Little Rock. She had six nieces and nephews that she loved dearly, Dakota Cronin of Shanghai, China, Flannery Cronin of Philadelphia, Pa., Sydney Davenport, Cameron Cronin, Matthew Cronin, and Conner Swaffar, all of Little Rock. Her best friend Susan Murphy of Little Rock was always by her side. Shaun graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1973 and attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Ark., 1973 through 1975. She completed her BS at the Baptist School of Radiology from 1975 to 1977. She began her fulfilling career as a Radiology Technician at Baptist Health, before moving to Radiology Consultants, and eventually finding her work home and family at Arkansas Children's Hospital. She remained there, assuming leadership roles and making lasting friendships for 21 years, until she partially retired, then worked at Arkansas Ortho Clinic until she fully retired and committed to her gardening full-time. She loved frogs, the color purple, little children, gardening in her greenhouse, and most of all her son, Zachary. She always had a rescue dog by her side: Zoya, Ziggy, Diva, and Abbey. She was an avid reader, devouring all John Grisham and Jack Reacher novels. Shaun was a loyal and loving friend. She was a supportive and dedicated mother. Kind and caring, she was a caregiver to all her friends and family. Her door was open to all, and her compassion and humor will be missed greatly. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributing to Shaun's favorite charity organizations, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and CARE for animals, a non-profit animal rescue in Little Rock.
