Linda Darnell Givens

Celebrating the life of Linda Darnell Givens, born May 26, 1952, to the late Theopolis and Eursel M. Givens in England, Arkansas. She departed this life June 30, 2022, at the age of 70. Linda accepted Christ at an early age and baptized at the Second Baptist Church in England, Arkansas, under the late Pastor Sylvester Summons until Reverend Robert Allen, Jr. became pastor. She later moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, and united with New Hope Baptist Church under the late Reverend E. D. Larry. During her later days, Linda moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, where she united with New Life Missionary Church under Pastor Ron Brown where she remained until her death. She attended and graduated from Gartrell High School in England, Arkansas. She continued her education at the AM&N University, now known as the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She worked at the England Compress for many years. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Theopolis and Eursel Givens, daughter, Rolanda McCoy, granddaughter, Sawanna Baggies, sister, Marie Anderson, and brothers Timothy Givens, Alfonso Givens and Morris Sawyer. She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, William Patterson of Las Cruces, New Mexico, and Corey (Kristie) Givens of Jacksonville, Arkansas. One brother, Nekoda Cain of Las Cruces, New Mexico. Six grandchildren, Tony King, Jerry Baggies, Jr, Quinita Baggies, and Ashanti McCoy, Derrick Givens, and Dyshawn Hamilton. Six great grandchildren. Two special friends, Jo Von Gooden of Arizona and Evelyn Mulhall of South Carolina. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends. Walk Thru Visitation: Friday, 3-6 p.m., at Robinson Mortuary, South.
