Richard Coy Collier, 75, of Austin, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022. He was born June 12, 1947, in Mountain Springs, to the late Dewey and Geneva Haynie Collier. He acquired the nickname "Hot Rod Rich" in high school. Richard enjoyed car shows, restoring antique cars, drag racing and was an avid Nascar fan. He was also a jack-of-all trades, always helpful, very handy, and enjoyed building projects. Richard loved fishing and playing the drums, but his greatest bragging right was that he was a better typist than his teacher. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Mundy and Troy Collier. Those left to cherish his memory are his long-time companion, Patricia Thomas; children, Steve Collier (Lori) of Fayetteville, Amy Collier Page (Colorado) of Cabot, and Brandi Eisenhower (Joey) of Austin; grandchildren, Steven, Jacob, and Brady Collier, Brooklyn Page Luck, Ava and Zoey Eisenhower; one great-grandchild: Aspen Kate Luck; sister, Doris Morris of Cabot; brother, Dewey Wayne Collier (Eva Dell) of Cabot; as well as many extended family members and friends. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, with Pastor Steve Zumalt officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain Springs Cemetery.
