Jimmy Levon Gordon

Jimmy Levon Gordon, passed away at his home in Quitman, Ark., at the age of 81. Jimmy was born November 26, 1941, in Pleasant Plains to Alvin L. Gordon and Aunine Royer Gordon. Jimmy met his wife of 58 years, Linda Jean Moore, during college at ASU Beebe. They married on Friday October 11, 1963. The next day on Saturday they bought their first property, lovingly called the "Creek Place". After college Jim farmed with his dad for several years. He then started teaching vocational agriculture. He taught at Pleasant Plains, Mt.Pleasant, Oil Trough, and finally Pangburn. He and Linda both retired from teaching in 2000, after 20 years for him and 36 for her. After retirement, he took up a second career in cattle farming. He is survived by his wife, Linda Jean, daughter, Shawn and her husband James, grandson, Luke Davis and his wife, Mattye, a great-grandson, expected in November, one brother, Glen Gordon and his wife Linda Lou, a sister, Glenda Curl, and her husband Rick. He also had several nephews and several great-nieces and nephews as well. Services were held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Powell Funeral Home Baldknob-Judsonia.
