Our beloved, Martha Wright, also know as, "Mama," "Aunt Martha," or "Granny," gained her Heavenly wings Saturday evening, June 18, 2022. She was just one week shy of her 80th birthday. Martha was born on June 25, 1942, in DeValls Bluff, Ark. It was here where she was raised and graduated high school in Hazen, Ark. Following her ambitious spirit and determination to succeed, Martha pursued a technical school in St. Louis, Mo., and graduated with a four-year degree. Her passion for helping others combined with a steady hand and sharp mind led her to a lifelong career as a lab technician at the Human Development Center in Conway, Ark. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Bill Wright; sons, Paul Gray (wife, Lisa) and Glenn Gray (wife, Susan); grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, and Sam Gray, Jessica Huddleston (Daniel), Hailey Johnson (Evan) and great-grandchild Cooper; Anna Ottens (Jason) with great-grandchildren, Matthew, Mitchell, and Maddie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bo Tighlman and Minnie Day. Martha will forever be known for her compassionate heart, selfless nature, and generous spirit. She found her joy in giving and doing for others. Her endless gifts were always something hand-made straight from her heart. She was an incredibly talented artist and could draw/paint/make anything with amazing accuracy. Other hobbies she loved (and was exceptional at) included; quilting, cooking/baking, sewing, calligraphy writing, gardening, and motor cycling riding. Although she was too humble to admit it, her artistic abilities were unmatched! No matter how many times she was encouraged to sell her work, she refused and said her payment was truly in the gift of giving. When she wasn't helping clients at work, Martha spent her time caring for her grandchildren, family, neighbors, friends, co-workers, elderly family members, etc. Every stranger she met turned into a new extended family member. A visitation for Martha will be held from 6-8 p.m., on Friday, June 24, 2022, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway. Her services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Roller-McNutt with Bro. Larry Grubbs officiating. Interment will take place following the service at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway, Ark.
