Thelma Marie Rhoades

Thelma Marie (née Wilkinson) Rhoades, 85, of Rogers, Ark., passed away peacefully Saturday, June 18, 2022, in Springdale, Ark., surrounded by her loving family. Thelma was born December 24, 1936, in Decatur County, Iowa, the daughter of Joseph Wayne and Martha Reland (née Atherton) Wilkinson. Thelma married Floyd Rhoades June 10, 1956, in Indianola, Iowa. She lived for her family; stayed close to the Lord with Bible studies, church, and prayer; enjoyed embroidery, scrapbooks, playing games with the kids, grandchildren, cooking and sewing. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Viola Martin, Martha Holsinger, one brother, Dale Wilkinson, one grandchild, Jacob Lotz. Thelma is survived by her husband of 66 years, Floyd Rhoades of the home, five children, Diana (David) Lotz of Pooler, Ga.; Karen (Randy) Steen of Buckeye, Ariz.; Michael (Donna) Rhoades of Frisco, Texas; Pamela (Andrew) Chenoweth of Otley, Iowa; Steven (Susan) Rhoades of Eureka, Mo.; four siblings, Elsie Goldizen, Edna Rawson, Larry (Carolyn) Wilkinson, Nancy (Don) Brown, two sister-in-laws, Helen Strovers, Mary Fry, fifteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Rollins Funeral Home, 1401 West Hudson Rd., Rogers, Ark., 72756. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the funeral home.
