Bettye Jean McCammon Taylor

Bettye Jean McCammon Taylor, formally of Forrest City, was born October 23, 1930. She departed this world June 26, 2022, in Newport, after 91 fulfilling years. Bettye was a wonderful sister, wife, and mother. Bettye was preceded in death by her husband, Cleburne Taylor, son, Barry Taylor, sisters, Meredith Ruth McCammon, and Billie Jo McCammon Laws. Bettye is survived by her son, Jerry Taylor and daughter, Susan Taylor Cooper. Bettye was blessed with five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Bettye was an outstanding basketball player for the Forrest City class of 1949. Bettye lived a fulfilling life and had an incredible career with AT&T where she retired after devoting thirty-three years. Bettye was an active member of First Baptist Church in Forrest City.
