Jettie Anderson

Jettie V. Anderson, 83, of Somerville, Tenn, formerly of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, in Collierville, Tenn. She was born December 12, 1938, in Sheridan, Ark., to Clarence and Toncie Ola Croy Veazey. She attended the University of Arkansas, Pine Bluff where she earned her Bachelor's in Criminal Justice and graduated summa cum laude. Jettie's career path led her to various positions at the Arkansas Division of Youth Services, University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, and International Paper. Jettie was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James Edward Anderson in 2004. She is survived by her son, James Alan Anderson and his wife, Amanda of Somerville; granddaughter, Allie Arnobit and husband, Karl of Oakland, Tenn.; and two sisters, Eunice Veazey Dreher of Arkadelphia and Lulu Clarke of Little Rock. A simple graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Ferrell West officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors. The family requests that a tree be planted in her memory in lieu of sending flowers.
