Rosemary Inez Springston of Elkins joined the angels, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren at her home on March 27, 2022. Born August 24, 1947, to Haskell and Ina Mae Stout, she was the oldest and only daughter to her parents. She graduated from Elkins High School and worked as a waitress in her teens at the cafe in Elkins, where she met Air Force firefighter Miles Springston and fell in love. They married on May 29, 1965, and welcomed their son, Eugene, the summer of 1966. Shortly after, they welcomed their first daughter, Mary, the summer of 1967, followed by their daughter, Livona, the fall of 1968. Inez and Miles loved to travel, and took many trips together with their children to Mexico, California, and Colorado. Inez worked for years as a cook at the University of Arkansas before retiring to do the one job she loved the most, to be a mom. She never missed a ball game and was always one to work the concession stands. She enjoyed feeding and transporting her children and their teammates to games. She was their biggest fan. Her door was always open to all her nieces, nephews, and children's friends. They all considered her a "second mom" and loved to pick on their Aunt Nez. Inez took care of many children over the years in her home daycare and loved all the children as if they were her own, continuing relationships with them long into their adult years. Anyone who knew Inez knew that she was an amazing Mom, Grandma, Aunt, Nez, Gigi, and Friend. To know her was to love her, for her spirit and kindness radiated from her smile and her eyes and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Miles; her parents, Haskell and Ina Mae Stout; and her grandparents, Ernest and Livona Hutchens, and Jim and Mary Stout. She is survived by her brother, Edwin (Shyrlie) Stout; her three children, Eugene Springston, Mary (James) Royal, Livona (John) Widder, a bonus stepdaughter, Kareena Lahaye of London, England; seven grandchildren, Britney (Kyle) Marrs, Megan (Brandon) Lahay, Robert (Chase) Smith, Lucas (Emily) Widder, Eli (Rachel) Widder, Kaniel (Abbi) Widder, and Ashleigh Wall; and three great-grandchildren, Skyler Rose (her namesake), Finn, and Chloe. Visitation will take place Friday, April 1, 2022, from 5-7 p.m. at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville. Funeral services for Inez will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at Beard's Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville, followed by a burial at McCord Cemetery in Elkins where she will be laid to rest next to her dear husband, Miles. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorial donations to the American Diabetes Association in Inez's memory. Condolences at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com
