Grace Marie Allen

Celebrating the life of Grace Marie Allen, 80 years, born January 31, 1942, to the late Buster and Mattie Cotton Hunter in Lonoke County, Ark. She was the second oldest of 12 children. Mother Grace accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Lonoke, Ark., under the late Rev. Preston Benson. She was the First Lady of Second Baptist Church in England, Ark., under the leadership of Robert Allen Jr.; member of the Little Rock Baptist Minister's Wives Association, and Charter member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Oliver Epps. She gracefully served her last days as the Mother of Greater Nation Church of Little Rock, Ark., with her son Apostle Kevin D. Allen, Sr. She was preceded in death by her late husband Rev. Robert Allen, Jr.; father Buster Hunter and mother Mattie Cotton Hunter; sisters, Tabatha (May), Blanche Hunter Keys and Shirley Hunter, and brother, Noah Hunter. She leaves to cherish her memory: sons, Frank Allen Sr., and Kevin D. Allen, Sr., (Pamela); sisters, Gladys Molden, Thelma Bryant, Algie Brooks (Lonzo); brothers, Robert Hunter (Elberta), Carl Hunter (Michelle), and Norma Hunter (Brenda), all of Little Rock, Ark.; uncle, James Kelly, and special cousin, Vera Hunter, both of Chicago, Illinois. grandchildren, Abram Allen (Cierra), Shanetta Allen, Jessica Allen, Frank Allen Jr, Boneka Allen, Kevin Allen Jr., Akeem Allen (Tabria), Angel Allen, Jaqueesha Jones, Destanee Parks (John), Quincy Jones and Nakia Harris, Jr.; 14 great-grands, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
