Ralph Wesley Kearney, 76, of Maumelle passed away on May 21, 2022. He was born in New Brighton, Pa., to James Woeful Kearney and Pearl Eiler Kearney. He moved his family to Maumelle New Town in 1981, and has called Arkansas his home ever since. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Leslie; his children, Ben Kearney and Megan Kearney Ludvinsky (Kevin); his two beloved grandchildren, Luella and Oliver; brother, James Kearney (Betty), sisters-in-law, Kathi Anderson and Sheila Anderson; six nieces and nephews and their precious families. Ralph was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He graduated from Beaver High School, where he excelled in academics and football. He received a BS in Biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and used his science degree to pursue a career in Water and Waste Management. In 1995 he founded his company, Klar Water Inc., to provide clean water and personal service to cities and municipalities in Arkansas. Service was important to Ralph. He loved and served his country and his community. He served his country in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Vietnam War era. He served his community as an active member of Maumelle Water Management for 12 years, three of which he served as Water Commissioner. We will remember Ralph for his kindness, his honesty, and his infectious humor. His last wish was that Jesus would watch over our country and his family for generations to come. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock on Friday, June 3, 2022, at 1 p.m. As per Ralph's request, family and friends are invited and encouraged to celebrate his life at the home he loved in Maumelle. Please join us there, anytime between 2-6 p.m., following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of RuebelFuneralHome.com
