Rita Cloer

Rita Cloer, 90, of Springdale, passed away November 7, 2022, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born on October 5, 1932, in Tontitown, Ark., to Ben Piazza and Eda Tomiello Piazza. Rita was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown. She worked for Pozza's Pasta for many years. She loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. Rita never met a stranger. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford McKenzie; and her second husband, Gene Cloer; father; mother; five brothers, Virgil Piazza, Lawrence Piazza, David Piazza, Ernest Piazza, Phillip Piazza; and one sister, Lucy Pianalto; and one grandson, Samuel DeMoss. Survivors include four children, Wanda DeMoss and husband Chip of Lee's Summit, Mo., Doris Kisner and husband Carl of Springdale, Darrell McKenzie of the home, and Lisa Birge of Springdale; one brother, Joseph Piazza of Tontitown; six grandchildren, Saul DeMoss, Kensey DeMoss, Brooke DeMoss, Ashley Nightengale and husband Eric, and Clifton Birge and wife Ashley, Jennifer Johnson and husband Josh; six great-grandchildren, Weston, Rylan, Bayley Jo, Brayden, Molly and Sarah. Mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown with Father Samy officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Tontitown.
