John J. Schuetz, age 85, of Pine Bluff, Ark., passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, in the company of his loving daughters, Heidi and Linda. He was born September 6, 1937, in Katharina, Banat, Yugoslavia, and immigrated to the US in 1952. John worked as a plant manager for Illinois Tool Works and was an avid real estate investor. He had an admirable work ethic, but always made time for activities he enjoyed. John had a love for social gatherings, ballroom dancing, music, learning, sharing his knowledge and having a good meal with family and friends. His smile was infectious, his personality filled any room, he readily helped a friend in need, and he lived life to the fullest. John was preceded in death by his parents, Johann Schuetz and Anna Furman; brother, Alfred Fuhrmann; brother-in-law Michael Weissmann and the love of his life, Valerie Schuetz. He is survived by his two daughters: Heidi Epperson and her husband Jim of Rogers, and Linda Smith of Hot Springs. John is also survived by his sister Anna Weissmann and sister-in-law Elena Fuhrmann, both of Illinois; his brother Eric Fuhrmann and wife Jean, of Michigan; and by his beloved granddaughters Emma, Sophie, Sarah, Caroline, and Kate. Services will be held at Robinson & Fuller Funeral Home in White Hall on Saturday November 19th. Visitation starts at 2 p.m., and service begins at 3:00. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Hot Springs, Ark., on Monday November 21st at 1 p.m. In the event you would like to make a memorial donation in his honor, the family suggests that you consider donating to VFW Post 4455 of Pine Bluff, or Circle of Life Hospice of Bentonville.
