Marna Nina Morissette (Hearst) nee Schnabel entered this world on April 16, 1937 and went to be with our Lord on November 17, 2022, after a short illness. Marna was born to parents Reinhard and Lena Augusta Schnabel in Redhook New York and passed away in Hot Springs Village Arkansas. She grew up in Upstate New York, graduating from Kinderhook High School. After high school she continued her education at Mildred Elle Secretarial School where she was one of the nominees for Homecoming Queen. Marna was first married to Ronald Hearst then later to Arthur Morissette for 26 years, whom she lived a happy and fun filled life. Marna's life was active being an Air Force officer's wife living around the world meeting dignitaries such as the Queen in Buckingham Palace and Chang Kai-shek, President of Taiwan and his wife. Despite this busy schedule she found time to raise five loving children. Her life was devoted to enhancing other's lives serving on many charitable organizations including but not limited to, the Officers Wives club, Volunteering to read to the blind at Our Lady of the Snows Shrine, writing the neighborhood newsletter, Ladies Guild at Sacred Heart. Moving to Hot Springs Village in the earl 2000's she continued her active lifestyle participating in the Bridge, Hiking and RV Clubs, PEO, Bocce Ball, Bowling, golf. She and her husband Art had many friends and acquaintances. Marna is preceded in death by her parents Reinhard and Lena Augusta Schnabel, brother Richard Schnabel (Dottie) along with a niece Jennifer Kaufman. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Morissette of Hot Springs Village; a sister Evelyn Kalms Baltimore Maryland; son, Ronald Hearst of Springfield, Mo.; son, Robert Hearst (Maritza) of Boca Raton, Fla.; daughter Elizabeth Hearst (Rick Smith) of Calgary, Canada; daughter, Monique Anderson(Blaine) of Sitka, Alaska, and Greg Morissette (Tina) of Alexandria, Va.; grandchildren, Kyle, Camille and Carrington Hearst, of Orlando, Fla., Isabelle, Harrison and Grayson Morissette, of Alexandria, Va., Valerie Ayala Perez, Mateo Ayala Perez, Alejandro Ayala Perez, of Boca Raton Florida. A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday November 23, 2022, 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hot Springs Village.
