Virginia Ann Long, 85, of White Hall, was a loving mother and Christian. She passed away on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24, 2022. Mrs. Long was born June 19, 1937, in McGehee, Ark., daughter of Tollie H. and Iva Lee Casteel Greenway. She was reared and received her early education in Dermott, graduating from Dermott High School. Mrs. Long was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church of White Hall. She owned and operated Mickey's Steakhouse in White Hall from the mid-1970s to the early 1980s. She worked as a cafeteria manager for the White Hall School District for many years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Russell "Rusty" Reeves; two brothers, Herbert Greenway and Reverend Cecil "Pat" Greenway; grandchild, Jerry Reeves, Jr.; and great-grandchild, Isaac Pittillo. Survivors include two sons, Herbert W. "Butch" Reeves (Leonette) of White Hall and Jerry D. Reeves (Judy) of Pine Bluff; daughter, Susan G. Coats (Tim) of White Hall; two sisters, Juanita Allen of Owensboro, Ky., and Paulette Murphy of Billings, Okla.; brother, James H. Greenway of Cookeville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, Sherry Edwards (Theodis), Cynthia Brock (Michael), Rebecca Pittillo (Chad), Jennifer Menard (Chris), Greg Reeves (Shannon), Jason Reeves (Julie), Alex Miller (Shane) and Tabitha Reeves; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, in the Chapel of Robinson and Fuller White Hall Funeral Chapel with Brother Rodney Castleberry officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Robinson and Fuller.
