Dolph Gene Hayes, 86, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022. He was born March 27, 1936, in Warren, to the late Crowell Cox and Birdie Mae Funderburg Cox.
Dolph grew up in Monticello. After his schooling, he served in the U.S. Air Force as a photographer. He then worked as a life insurance agent in the Pine Bluff area for many years. Dolph was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and brothers, Willie Cox and Tommy Survivors include his wife, Sharon Baker Hayes, whom he married May 16, 1981 in Pine Bluff; two daughters, Nora Bell (Mark) and Monti Olive (Jack) all of Alaska; son, Jay Newton of Pine Bluff; granddaughter, Serena Bell; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, all of Alaska; a dear sister, Bettie Watson of Monticello; and special cousin, Phil Funderburg of Warren.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Service. Bro. Warner Worthan will officiate. The family will visit with friends and family after the service.
