Shirley Ann Parker

Shirley Ann Parker, age 76, of Star City passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022 at her home. Shirley was born May 27, 1946, in New Orleans, La., to the late Homer B. and Shirley Culpepper Weatherford. Mrs. Parker enjoyed going shopping and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a retired office manager and a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Ronnie Weatherford. Survivors include her loving husband of 49 years, George Parker; two sons, Steve Ballard and wife Christy of Star City, and Scott Parker and wife Kimberly of Redfield; one daughter, Rhonda Light and husband Steve of Star City; one sister, Susan Ashcraft of Star City; six grandchildren, Mandi, Justin, Taylor, Logan, Gavin, and Aubrey; three great-grandchildren, Ryler, Madisyn, and Austin Kate; and many nieces, nephews, extended friends and family. There will be a private family service with burial to follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steve Ballard, Scott Parker, Randall Shell, Justin Light, Logan Ballard, Gavin Parker, Mandi Shell, Taylor Light, and Aubrey Parker. There will be no Formal Visitation.
