Ora Beatrice Spillyards

Ora Beatrice Spillyards, 96, of Little Rock, Ark., formerly of Pine Bluff, passed away on August 27, 2022. She was born February 12, 1926, in Springfield, Tenn., to parents Herman Davis Frey and Cora Bell Frey. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Spillyards; as well as siblings, Davis Frey, John Frey, J.B. Frey, Annie Earhart, Louise Hamsley, Dorothy Bloodworth, and Betty Smith. She is survived by her children, Linda Wardlaw (Jerry) of Little Rock, Ark., Joey Spillyards (Trista) of Estes Park, Colo., Jeff Spillyards (Jan) of Ferndale, Ark., Jim Spillyards (Dana) of Maumelle, Ark., Jud Spillyards (Pam) of Fairhope, Ala.; one brother, Alvin Frey (Verna) of Columbia, Tenn.; her grandchildren, Allison Gee (David) of Little Rock, Ark., Deke Spillyards of Salida, Colo., Jonathan Wardlaw (Babs) of Little Rock, Ark., Luke Spillyards of Buena Vista, Colo., Joe Spillyards III (Anna) of Salida, Colo., Jill Long (Chris) of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jana Myers (Jeff) of Maumelle, Ark., Ben Spillyards of Little Rock, Ark., Matt Spillyards (Becca) of North Little Rock, Ark., Caleb Spillyards of Atlanta, Ga., Judson Spillyards of Little Rock, Ark., Josh Spillyards (Trasa) of North Little Rock, Ark.; as well as 12 great-grandchildren. She and Joe owned and operated Luckwood Beach in Pine Bluff. She was also a devout member of the Pulaski Heights Baptist Church, and enjoyed spending her time reading. She will be deeply missed by her family and church. A private service will be held for the family. Services will be handled by Pinecrest Funeral Home and Memorial Park. The family asks that memorial donations be made to Arkansas Hospice.
