Glenda Hughes Brewer

GLENDA HUGHES BREWER, 91, of Little Rock, Ark., went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dallas and Loice Hughes; brother, Jimmy Hughes; and her husband of 61 years, Philip A. Brewer. She is survived by two sons: David Brewer (Nancy) and Scott Brewer (Amy); granddaughter, Becky Wilson (Jeremy); great-granddaughter, Lyla; great-grandson, Thomas; grandson, Blake Brewer and fiancé, Kristen Wright; sister-in-law, Bertha Hughes; nieces, Julie Reves (Eddie); Laura Baldwin (Bruce); great-niece, Natalie. Glenda grew up in Batesville, Ark., and graduated from Arkansas College. She moved to Little Rock in 1962 with her husband, Philip, and son, David. She worked part-time at Tanglewood Drugstore and also the Little Rock Convention Center. She loved to watch birds, tend to her flowers, crochet, travel with friends from church and spend time with her grandchildren. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church in Little Rock for 60 years. She will be missed by many! Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.
