Samuel Lamar Coulter

Samuel Lamar Coulter, 83, of Rogers, Ark., died on August 31, 2022, at Circle of Life hospice in Springdale. He was born on June 2, 1939, in Cotton Plant, Ark., to Dwight and Marie (King) Coulter. He graduated from North Little Rock High School in 1957, and attended Arkansas Tech University. He was in the Arkansas Air National Guard. Sam worked at Southwestern Bell Telephone for over 40 years. He married Carol Lynn Toole; they were married for 65 years. He is survived by his wife, Carol; his daughter, Kimberly Windham (Randy) of Lusaka, Zambia; his son, Curt Coulter (Daline) of Springdale, Ark.; and son, Brian (Kristen) Coulter of Austin, Texas. Sam had 13 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dwight and Marie; and his sister, Phyllis Sewell. Sam was an avid Razorback fan. He coached Little League baseball. He enjoyed farming, camping, and restoring vintage cars. His main joy was telling others about Jesus and serving in his church. He loved and enjoyed being with his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: Hope Cancer Resources, 5835 W.
