Daniel O'Connell Pyne II

Major Daniel O'Connell Pyne, II, (USAF, Retired), 77, of Cabot, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born September 14, 1944, in Washington, D.C. to the late Daniel O'Connell and Catherine Murphy Pyne. Daniel graduated from Gonzaga High School in Washington, D. C. and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland and a Masters of Public Administration from Golden Gate University. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, from which he retired as a Major after twenty years of service. He was a Vietnam veteran and a C-130 navigator. Daniel loved to sing and used his vocal talent as a first tenor in many choirs throughout his life. In addition to his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Patrick Pyne. Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Daniel O'Connell Pyne III (Jennifer) and Timothy Matthew Pyne (Andres); three grandchildren, Alexandra Leigh Pyne, Daniel O'Connell Pyne, IV and Caroline Grace Pyne; sister, Mary Beaman (Pete); sister-in-law, Theresa Pyne, as well as many extended family members and friends from across the globe. Memorial Mass will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022, at St. Jude's the Apostle Catholic Church in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Inurnment will be at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Virginia. Arrangements by Moore's Cabot Funeral Home, 501-843-5816.
