Pearl J. Gentry, 93, of Little Rock, Ark., passed away September 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving husband of 65 years, Roy L. Gentry and family. She was born on December 19, 1928, in Winooski, Vt., to Peter and Francis Jasinski Ignaszewski. Early in life, Pearl had a passion for helping people. She worked at Fanny Allen Hospital as a registered nurse and as a USAF 1st Lieutenant. During her service, she married Roy L. Gentry in 1957 in Etain, France. When Pearl wasn't being a mother, nurse or a grandmother, you could find her in the kitchen, traveling or supporting her husband with his Air Force Career. Pearl received a National Defense Service Medal and retired from Nursing in 1995. During her later years, she loved cooking for football kickbacks at her home, attending her grandkids sports events and just being surrounded by family. Pearl is survived by her four children, Gail Reddin (Tom), Trip Gentry (Debbie), Scott Gentry (Lisa) and Kevin Gentry (Jennifer); seven grandchildren, Chris, Aaron, Tanner, Faith, Braden, Kathrine, and Tori, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express thanks to Kim, Val and Kay for their love and care to their mother. A visitation will be 4-6 p.m., on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m., on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church with Father Daniel Velasco as Celebrant.
