William Allen Carter

William Allen Carter, 85, of Covington, Louisiana, passed away peacefully September 13, 2022, at his home. He was born July 9, 1937, in Bradford, Ark., the son of Herbert and Vernie Carter. William was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He truly enjoyed his work. He worked for Petroleum Helicopters Inc. for 31 years until he retired as the area manager. William loved his helicopters and airplanes. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife; Barbara Carter of Covington, La.; his children; Andrew Carter and Cheryl Carter of Covington, La.; Sisters; Elizabeth McGill of Bellville, Texas, and Brenda (Harold) Tisdale of Perkin, Illinois; grandchildren; Steven Carter, Jr. of Brandon, Miss.; Kathrine Devlin of Slidell, La.; Hunter Carter of Brandon, Miss.; and Jennifer Heltz of Kenner, La.; his great-grandchild; Alexander Carter of Galliano, La. He was preceded in death by; his parents; son; Steven Carter; and sister; Joyce Youngrin. Services: Monday, September 19, 2022, 1 p.m., at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 12 p.m., Interment: Carter Cemetery.
