Kenneth Lane Rowland

KENNETH L. ROWLAND, 85, passed away peacefully at home on September 22, 2022. He was born May 13, 1937, in Little Rock, Ark., the son of Kenneth V. Rowland and Thelma Priscilla Mae Jenkins Rowland. Ken was predeceased by his parents, and brother, Mike Rowland. He was widowed by his wife, Sue Rowland, whom he loved, cared, and nursed though a long battle with Alzheimer's. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Jennifer Morris (Sammy), Scott Evans (Dawn), Melissa Evans, and Brendan Rowland (Meredith); grandchildren, Rachel Porter, Rebecca Porter Pomeroy, Tyler O'Neal, Taylor Evans, Sunny Downs, Noah Evans, Montana Rowland, Mackenzie Rowland, and Ethan Ratliff; great-grandchildren, Penelope O'Neal, Luca O'Neal, and Prudence Joy Pomeroy; siblings, Marcella Grimmett, Gary Rowland (Jackie), Diana Woolen (John), and Larry Rowland (Sandy); sister-in-law, Shirley Rowland; beloved caring friend, Kimberly Delyles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and longtime friends. A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Impact Church, located at 5500 Landers Road in North Little Rock, Ark. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Ken in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Arkansas Alzheimer's Foundation or the American Heart Association, Arkansas Chapter.
