John William Wallworth, Jr.

John William Wallworth, Jr., age 84, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed from this life Wednesday, September 21, 2022. He was born September 18, 1938, in Stuttgart, Ark., a son of the late John William Wallworth, Sr., and Cora Markham Wallworth. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Jean A. Bates, and brothers, Jerry L. Wallworth and Jimmy Wallworth. John was a life-long storyteller, with a unique and vivid imagination, having written multiple plays and movie scripts. He had multiple careers, including writing for the Hot Springs Sentinel Record, where he briefly served as Editor. He was a graduate of Hendrix College and a U.S. Army veteran. Survivors include his children, Cory-Maddox Wallworth Humphreys, Adam Wallworth, and one grandchild, Kai Humphreys. Cremation arrangements are by Nelson Berna Funeral Home of Fayetteville and a private service will be held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery.
