Mary Lou Spencer

Mary Lou Spencer, age 88, of Fayetteville, Ark., died on September 21, 2022, in Fayetteville, Ark. She was born on September 27, 1933, in Carroll County, Arkansas, to Napoleon and Elsie Garver Miller. Mary married Paul G. Spencer on September 30, 1949, in Huntsville, Ark. She worked for Welch's Grape Juice in Springdale as well as JCPenney and Walmart. Mary was a wonderful seamstress and hosted many foreign exchange students over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Spencer; daughter, Kathy Johnson; and parents, Napoleon Miller and Elsie Miller. She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Palkowsky and husband Bill of Fayetteville, and Marilyn Runions of Fayetteville; brothers, Oscar Miller and wife Mary of Hindsville, Ark., and Dale Miller of Huntsville, Ark.; four grandchildren, Micah Galbraith, Jake Pinneo, Larry Johnson, and Melissa Johnson; and six great-grandchildren, Heidi Sage Stirzinger, Sebastian Flikke, Connor Johnson, Cade Johnson, Seamus Pinneo, and Tucker Pinneo. No services are planned at this time. There will be a private burial at Liberty Cemetery near Dry Fork, Ark. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association.
