Benny Dean Rupe

Benny Dean Rupe, 75, of Pine Bluff, was a faithful born-again Christian who loved professing his faith and helping others in their faith journey. He went to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 27, 2022. Mr. Rupe was born February 6, 1947 in Sherrill, Ark., son of David G. and Anna Belle Parks Rupe. Benny was reared and received his early education in Altheimer, graduating from Altheimer High School in 1965. He worked for International Paper for over 30 years, retiring as an instrument electrician foreman. Benny was a member of Shepherd Hill Baptist Church and the IP Quarter Century Club. He also served on the board of the Cleveland County Fair and Cleveland County Cattleman's Association. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Nettie Venable, Thelma Brown and Wilma Kimbrell; and three brothers, J.D. Rupe, Pete Rupe and Charley Rupe. Survivors include his loving wife, Marsha Lynch Rupe; three sons, Shannon (Rosie) Rupe of England, Ark., Rick (Tanya) Rupe of Rowell and Kevin (Jennifer) Rupe of Houma, La.; three sisters, Mary Meixner of Hot Springs, Carolyn Spainhouer Reynolds of Hot Springs and Sybil Cook of California; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Brother Patrick Mead officiating. Interment will follow in Flat Bayou Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m., at Robinson's.
