Melvin Thomas Ewart, Jr.

Tom Ewart, (Melvin Thomas Ewart, Jr.) passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, after stroke related complications. While we are all shocked and incredibly saddened by the loss of this wonderful man, we are so grateful to know that he was a man of faith and was blessed with his incredible talents and gift for photography. Tom was born July 18, 1969, in Little Rock, Ark., to Mel and Kay Ewart. He graduated from Northeast High School and UA Fayetteville. He was active in the Society of Professional Journalists, National Press Photographers Association, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and the Photographer Sports Information Network. Tom is preceded in death, by his father, Melvin Thomas Ewart, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Kay Ewart of North Little Rock, son, Melvin Thomas Ewart, III, his daughter, Allison Ewart of Bentonville, his sister Susan Crowder of Kansas City and other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Tom's life at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 21 in the Sanctuary of Lakewood United Methodist Church, 1922 Topf Road, North Little Rock, 72116
