Dr. John Edward Lachowsky III

Dr. John E. Lachowsky III, age 74, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, June 8, 2023 in Altus, Ark. He was born January 3, 1949 in Fayetteville, Ark., to John Edward Lachowsky and Mildred Kate Lachowsky. Dr. Lachowsky graduated from Subiaco Academy in 1967, the University of Arkansas in 1972, and the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in 1976. He was a retired physician. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, William Allen Lachowsky; one sister, Virginia Porterfield; and one grandson, Callum Edward Lachowsky. Dr. Lachowsky is survived by his wife, Karen Lachowsky; four brothers, Steve Lachowsky and wife Margaret, Deacon Brian Lachowsky and wife Martha, Louis Lachowsky and wife Arlyne, and Dr. Frank Lachowsky and wife Annette; five children, Andrew Lachowsky and wife Erin, Myca Lachowsky-Elmore and husband Scott, Kurt Lachowsky and wife Connie, Zachary Lachowsky, Luke Lachowsky and wife Courtney; and 13 grandchildren. Rosary service will be 6 p.m., Sunday, June 11, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church 5118 St. Mary's Lane Altus, Ark. Memorial funeral mass will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 12, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Altus, with Father Reginald Udoj officiating.
