Archie Clyde Flynn

Archie Clyde Flynn, age 83, of Decatur, Ark., passed away Monday, September 25, 2023. He was born May 31, 1940, in Branch, Ark., to the late Orville Flynn and Rosie Whitmore Flynn. Archie was a concrete finisher, oil field driller and primarily a cattleman/cowboy. He worked and cowboyed mostly in the Arkansas River Valley from Fort Smith to Russellville. He was preceded by his brothers, Jim Flynn, Donal Flynn; and sister, Mae Flynn Goldsmith. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Patricia Ann Schmalz Flynn of the home; his sons, Carl Flynn and wife, Gayla, of Grove, Okla., Glynn Flynn and wife, Deidre, of Prairie Grove, Ark.; his brothers, Gene Flynn and wife, Shirley, of Oakdale, Calif., Birley and wife, Betty, of Branch, Ark.; his grandchildren, Rachel Flynn Reed and husband, Riley, and great-grandson, Wyatt Reed, of Pryor, Okla., Wade Flynn of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Tyler Flynn of Denver, Colo.
