What's on the ballot

Democrats may largely be running on resistance to President Donald Trump this November, but it's worth remembering there's more to be decided than the possible impeachment of our nation's most talked-about elected leader.

Remember that big tax overhaul Republicans passed through Congress last year? There are still some things to be done with it, primarily when it comes to tax rates. The lower rates are set to expire in 2025, setting up a future showdown. But this election might decide if those lower tax rate cuts are made permanent.

Bloomberg reports Democrats are already talking about last year's tax reform bill and how they want to undo it. What does that mean? A tax increase.

Whenever the courts get done deciding what we're allowed to vote on here in Arkansas, there could things like a minimum wage increase, term limits and more on the ballot.

Elections have consequences. Plural. That's always been true, even in the 242nd year history of this nation.
