Robbed while handing out business cards in Little Rock neighborhood, 2 tell police

Two men were robbed of $400 Thursday while distributing business cards in a Little Rock neighborhood, authorities said.

The victims — a 34-year-old and a 30-year-old — told officers they were near the 4000 block of West 24th Street at 8 p.m. when they decided to meet an individual who lived in the area and had inquired multiple times about a job at their lawn-care service.

Once they arrived to meet him, the male pointed two guns in their faces and said, "Give me everything you got," according to a report from the city's Police Department. The 34-year-old reportedly handed the gunman $400 they had made earlier that day mowing lawns.

The robber threatened to shoot them if they didn't move, but then a patrol car reportedly drove into the area, the victims said. The attacker fled south, and the men flagged down the officer for help, police said.

No suspect was named, and no arrest had been made at the time of the report.
