VOLLEYBALL Arkansas, UCA in NCAA Tournament field Arkansas and Central Arkansas were each included in the NCAA Tournament field that was announced Sunday night. The Razorbacks (16-13 ), who earned an at-large bid, is in the tournament for the second consecutive season and will play Creighton (22-8 ) at 4 p.m. Friday in Lawrence, Kan. Arkansas is playing in a subregion that includes Kansas (23-7 ) and Wichita State (28-6 ).

FOOTBALL HSU’s Rodgers named finalist for Harlon Hill Henderson State junior quarterback Kevin Rodgers is one of nine finalists for the Harlon Hill Trophy, which is given to NCAA Division II’s top player. Rodgers leads Division II in passing yards per game (400.6), total offense (399.5 ypg), third in touchdowns (40) and fourth in passing efficiency (178.64). This season, Rodgers completed 322 of 467 passes for 4,807 yards and 40 touchdowns, leading the Reddies to an 11-1 record. Henderson State lost to St. Cloud State in the first round of the Division II playoffs on Saturday in Arkadelphia. The other finalists for the award are quarterbacks Luke Charles (North Carolina-Pembroke ), Bo Cordell (Tusculum), Dustin Vaughn (West Texas A&M) and Jon Wolf (Minnesota State-Mankato ), and running backs Glen Clinton (Chadron State), Franklyn Quiteh (Bloomsburg), Tyler Tonderum (Southwest Minnesota State) and Rondell White (West Chester).
