Driver killed in wreck identified

— The driver that was killed in Monday's single-car accident on Rebsamen Park Road has been identified.

Around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon a single car accident killed the driver and injured the passenger on Rebsamen Park Road by Rebsamen Park Golf Course.

According to the accident report sent out by the Little Rock Police Department, Francis Taylor Brown, 85, of Little Rock, died after he swerved off the road for an unknown reason while traveling westbound on the street, parallel to Rebsamen Park Golf Course, striking two trees before his gold Lincoln Continental came to rest in a ditch.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene and the cause of death wasn't stated in the report.

Brown's wife, 72-year-old Shirley Brown, was taken to the St. Vincent Hospital for evaluation. It's unknown of her condition at this time.
