Man arrested after putting steaks down pants at Kroger, police say

A Little Rock man was arrested Sunday after he concealed several steaks in his pants and then tried to leave a local grocery store without paying for them, authorities said.

Bralen Marshall, 36, was arrested on a charge of theft of property as well as several outstanding warrants, according to a Little Rock Police Department report.

Police say Marshall was in the Hillcrest Kroger, 614 Beechwood St., when he was "seen putting several steaks in his pants" before leaving the premises. It happened about 1:30 p.m.

Marshall was arrested a short time later with the steaks still in his clothes, the report said.

Marshall remained in the Pulaski County jail Monday morning with bail not yet set. He also faces charges of theft of property, breaking and entering and failure to appear from the warrants.
