AT&T store robbed at gunpoint in Little Rock

A man who first inquired about a cellphone at a Little Rock AT&T store later pulled out a gun and robbed the business, authorities said.

It happened about 7 p.m. Tuesday at the store at 10101 Mabelvale Plaza.

Police say the two clerks working at the time reported the man asked about buying a cellphone and then pulled a gun from his hooded sweatshirt and pointed it at them.

According to a Little Rock police report, the man ordered one employee to lie on the floor while the other opened the safe. The man got cash and cellphones before fleeing out the rear door, police said.

The robber is described as a black man between 20 and 40 years old who stood 5-foot-9, weighed about 140 pounds and wore a blue hoodie, bluejeans and red shoes.
