Eggshibition 2013

It was the 22nd year for the quirky art auction and party called Eggshibition, and one of the best. “We were going for that lounge feel,” said Larry Betz at Youth Home, and they got it. Youth Home is a residential psychiatric care facility for emotionally troubled teens and families begun in 1966, and this year’s fundraiser netted about $120,000 and attracted about 600. Rocker Dave Matthews’ minimalist creation hatched a whopping $700 bid, and artist Lynn Sudderth’s It’s a Shellabration attracted $600.
