Batesville Christmas Parade

The Batesville Christmas Parade was held Dec. 2 on historic Main Street. The city of Batesville’s Downtown Lighting Ceremony took place before the parade. The theme of the parade was “A Storybook Christmas.” There were 14 floats and more than 30 combined entries. Floats were judged on the following criteria: accordance to theme, placement of lights, creativity, animation and special effects and costuming. The winners were first-place Business, Fusion Dance Academy for How the Grinch Stole Christmas; second-place Business, Citizens Bank for A CeeBee Christmas; third-place Business, Tiffany’s Salon for How the Grinch Stole Christmas; first-place Nonprofit/Civic, Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church for Polar Express; second-place Nonprofit/Civic, Boy Scout Pack 220; and third-place Nonprofit/Civic, the Ozark Foothills Literacy Project for How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
