July 30, 2015 10:17 a.m.

Mrs. Miniver, the World War II-era novel-cum award year Academy Award winner for Best Screenplay and Best Picture winner of six Academy Awards, including Best Screenplay and Best Picture for 1942, became a world premiere stage production inside the Argenta Community Theater July 22. Vince Insalaco and fellow Argenta Community Theater producer Judy Tenenbaum welcomed an enthusiastic crowd of associates, theater-lovers and fans to the lobby, which was decked out with posters and memorabilia from the story, the era, and the beloved MGM production. Before the show, ticketholders were treated to a spread of food including a succulent smoked salmon and roast beef crostinis from Ben E. Keith. Afterward, there was a champagne toast for all.
