February 24, 2017 10:25 p.m.

It had all the markings of an old-fashioned political rally, complete with fiery speeches that drew appause and amens. But it was mainly to see honors bestowed that attendees gathered for the 13th annual King-Kennedy Dinner, named for slain civil-rights leader Martin Luther King and President John F. Kennedy. Hosted by the Arkansas Democratic Black Caucus, the ceremony, designed to highlight community servants, took place Feb. 17 in the Great Hall of the Clinton Presidential Center.
