NPR correspondent to give series lecture

— National Public Radio senior correspondent Juan Williams is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. Thursday as part of the Bless The Mic: A Hip-Hop President's Lecture Series at Philander Smith College.

The talk will take place inside the M.L. Harris Auditorium on campus.

Williams' talk is free and open to the public. No reservations or tickets are required. Seating is on a first-come, firstserved basis, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.

Besides his work with NPR, Williams is a political analyst for Fox Television and a regular panelist for Fox News Sunday. In addition to columns and editorials for The Washington Post, he has written six books.

His most recent book is Enough: The Phony Leaders, Dead-End Movements and Culture of a Failure That Are Undermining Black America - And What We Can Do About It. His other books include Eyes on the Prize, a history of the civilrights movement, and Thurgood Marshall, a biography on the late U.S. Supreme Court judge.
