Wrecks leave 3 Arkansans dead, Missouri man injured

— Three Arkansans were killed and a Missouri man was injured in highway accidents on Sunday and Tuesday, Arkansas State Police report.

Tavaucia Williams, 26, of Stuttgart died after his 1993 Mercury Marquis collided with a 1995 International truck. Williams was driving west in the eastbound lane of Interstate 40in Lonoke County when he met the eastbound truck around 1 a.m. Tuesday, according to the report. The truck's driver, Alfred Montoya, 39, of Laredo, Texas, was not injured.

Andrea R. Cuzzort, 32, of Siloam Springs died after being struck while crossing Interstate 540 north in Springdale around 6 a.m. Sunday. The driver of the 2002 Hyundai, James D. Nimmo,38, of Rogers was not injured.

A four-vehicle wreck near Salem left a Gamaliel man dead Sunday.

Hurshel B. Bentley, 50, of Gameliel was driving a 2005 Suzuki motorcycle about 1:40 p.m. Sunday about two miles west of Salem. Bentley failed to negotiate a curve in U.S. 62 west, crossed the centerline and hit a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe head-on.Bentley was thrown from the motorcycle and was struck by a 2006 Ford Escape driven by Johnny Clayton of Viola.

The Tahoe's driver, Franklin J. Lack, 46, of Kennett, Mo., was injured and taken to Fulton County Hospital in Salem for treatment.

Gary Arwood of Mountain Home struck the motorcycle. Neither Clayton nor Arwood was injured.
