MOULD'S ROCKIN'

DISTRICT

Bob Mould, the songwriter and vocalist of Husker Du and Sugar, is ready to rock again. Mould, who decided in the late '90s to focus on electronic styles such as those on his 2002 album Modulate, eased his way back into rock with 2005's solo album, Body of Song.

Mould has signed with Anti- Records and will issue District Line in February. But advance word - and the reported presence of Brendan Canty of Fugazi on drums - indicates it could be an album filled with guitars. Mould's move to Antiputs him on the same label as Tom Waits, Neko Case, Bettye LaVette and Joe Henry.
