— 2 men shot in chest; police investigating

Two men were shot Saturday evening a block east of Centennial Park, Little Rock police said.

The victims went to different hospitals in separate cars after the 5:56 p.m. shooting at the intersection of West 15th and Marshall streets, police said. Police said each victim was in stable condition with gunshot wounds to the chest.

Police said at least one person fired at the victims who were walking near the intersection, police said.

The possibility of a second gunman had not been ruledout Saturday night, and police were still investigating late Saturday.

Man with knife robs

store; no arrests

A knife-wielding man robbed the Family Dollar store at 4514 W. 12th St. on Saturday evening, Little Rock police said.

At about 7:30 p.m., a black male wearing a baseball cap underneath the drawn hood of his black sweatshirt pulled a knife on a clerk and demanded money, police said.

The man ran south across 12th Street. Police did not say how much money he stole.

Police made no arrests by late Saturday and continued to investigate.
