Denny Green said it best. "They are who we thought they were."

On their second offensive play, Florida International set the pace for the rest of the game by turning over the ball on their own 20-yard line. It would be the first of seven turnovers in Arkansas' 58-10 victory over their Sun Belt opponent, the Golden Panthers.

Florida International is the third Sun Belt Conference team the Razorbacks have faced this year. Only Troy (who we beat in week one) has more victories over Sun Belt teams.

We may not be able to claim a winning record in our own conference just yet, but for some reason, we're staking a claim in another - one that Arkansas State happens to be a member of.

I'm not going to go there, but I just love the irony in that situation.

So, what can be said about Saturday's win? Not much.

Florida International (0-8), who extended the nation's longest losing streak to 20, is possibly the worst Division I team. I know the Razorbacks (5-3) usually play down to their competition, but I didn't see anything special about the Hogs Saturday, I just saw a team that was that bad.

Darren McFadden only rushed for 61 yards, but did manage to score four touchdowns, all coming within the three-yard line.

I guess the biggest story of the game was the return of Marcus Monk. Arkansas' career leader in touchdown passes caught his first two of the season - one from Casey Dick, the other from Nathan Emert after Dick left the game due to a concussion. At press time there was no word if Dick would be healthy enough to start against South Carolina Saturday.

UP NEXT - The true test begins this weekend in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks stay home to host Steve Spurrier's South Carolina team in the first of four huge SEC games to close out the season.

The Gamecocks (6-3) are unpredictable. Their season has seen its ups and downs. The team started off 6-1 with just one loss to No. 1 LSU at the time and a marquee win over Kentucky.

Since then, South Carolina has dropped two straight, one to a Vanderbilt team that is perennially at the bottom of the SEC East.

The Gamecocks are coming off a tough overtime loss in Knoxville, Tenn., against the Volunteers where they saw their SEC East championship hopes fade away. So, will they be emotionally stable for another SEC road game against a team that seems to have momentum in their direction?

I doubt it. Houston Nutt has turned around many a season here at Arkansas and I suspect we're about to see a fun last four weeks.

PREDICTION - Arkansas 24, South Carolina 17
