Man accused of trying to set couple on fire

— A man accused of breaking into the home of a Trumann couple, pouring gasoline on them and trying to light them on fire has been arrested.

Police say Raoul Simpson Sr. had an altercation earlier with Scott Miles and Tracy Cook in which they forced Simpson and his 19-year-old son to leave their home.

Investigators say Simpson entered the home later in the day while Miles and Cook were asleep in the living room, but they woke up before Simpson could get the gasoline lit. Simpson fled in a van that he wrecked. He was treated at a hospital before being taken to the Poinsett County jail, where he's held on $1 million bail on attempted murder charges.

Police are seeking Raoul Simpson Jr. for the earlier episode.
