A Sherwood homeowner was charged with manslaughter Wednesday in the October 2007 shooting death of a teenager.
Larry Staley, 66, admitted in the past to firing warning shots at trespassers because there had been several burglary attempts on his property. But the final encounter led to Bryant Cross' body being found in a ditch near Staley's home off Highway 107, shots to his abdomen and right arm.

He is being held at the Sherwood jail and was to be arraigned about 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
