LITTLE ROCK — Joint raid secures meth, cash, arrest
The Shannon Hills and the Alexander police departments executed a search and seizure warrant on a home at 1015 Clinton Court on Tuesday, seizing 5 1/2 pounds of "ice" and arresting a woman.
"It was a pretty interesting first day as interim chief," said Sgt. Jeff King, who participated in the drug raid that netted the crystal methamphetamine on his first day as interim chief of the Shannon Hills department.
Carmen Acosta, 22, was charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug premises.
Officers with both departments also seized a large amount of cash at the residence.
"It's between $5,000 and $6,000," King said Tuesday night.
"We're still counting it."
Acosta was being held without bail Tuesday night in the Saline County jail.
